vs Motion
Motion reads the ads that already ran. upload.ad is the half before that: the library, the approvals, and the launch itself.
7 days free. No credit card required.
Motion is creative analytics for paid social, with visual reporting, AI tagging, and competitor research across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. It starts after the ad is live.
It does not hold your creative, collect feedback, track versions, or put an ad into an ad account. That stretch is the one upload.ad covers.

Spend tiers
Facts checked August 2026.
Different halves of the same job.
These two rarely compete for the same slot. Motion looks backwards at spend that already happened, using leaderboards, AI tagging, AI analysis agents, and competitor research to explain which ads worked. upload.ad is where the work sits before it becomes spend at all.
The quickest way to tell which one you need is to name the complaint. If nobody can say which creative is winning, that is the analytics question and Motion answers it. If approvals take four days, or somebody is still retyping copy into Ads Manager on a Friday, that is this one.
There is also a sequencing reason they sit apart. Post-launch analytics has nothing to report on until something has launched, so it cannot shorten the stretch between a finished export and a live ad.
From dropped file to live ad.
Everything starts in one library of images and video, kept findable with folders, tags, and AI tagging. Reviewers open a share link with no account, comment on the exact frame, and approve or ask for changes, and every asset carries its version history and a status showing where it stands. Reviewers are free and unlimited on every plan.
The approved version then goes straight into the campaign and ad set builder: structure, primary text, headlines and CTAs from saved copy templates, and the page and Instagram identity. Carousels, existing posts, Spark Ads, lead ads, and Advantage+ enhancements are all handled there.
On launch days, batch launches turn a folder of approved creatives into one ad each across Meta and TikTok. Automations can run those launches on a schedule, along with creative tests and budget scaling, and everything the app does is also reachable through the API, CLI, SDK, and MCP server.
upload.ad reports on the ads it launches, with creative performance across Meta and TikTok side by side and an ad comment inbox for both platforms in one view. It is not a replacement for dedicated creative analytics, but it answers the everyday questions without opening anything else.
Reporting you get without a second tool.
It also attributes results to the people who made the work. Because it saw who made what, team performance ties spend and outcomes back to the editor or buyer behind each creative, a question a post-launch tool cannot answer. Shareable report links send the same numbers to a client or a stakeholder.
A good quarter does not raise the bill.
Motion structures its pricing around ad spend tiers, so scaling a winner moves what the tool costs. upload.ad meters on connected ad accounts and nothing else.
Starter is $59/mo for one ad account, Growth $199/mo for three, Pro $449/mo for ten, and Agency $799/mo for fifteen with whitelabel review links. Annual is ten months for twelve, and reviewers are unlimited and free on every plan.
When Motion is the better fit
Pick Motion when the gap is creative strategy rather than creative operations. Strategists who spend the week reading performance, tagging what made a winner work, and researching competitor ads get more depth there, and it covers YouTube, which upload.ad does not. Many teams run both: upload.ad up to the launch, Motion on what happened after.
